A dark fantasy cinematic shot heavily inspired by the official Diablo IV cinematic trailer. This project was created during the early stages of my Houdini studies, serving as a foundational exploration of layout, dramatic lighting, and particle workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Layout & Set Dressing: Sourced downloaded 3D assets, arranged them within the environment, and established the cinematic framing.
- Animation Integration: Applied and retargeted Mixamo animations to bring some characters to life.
- Particle Simulations: Designed and executed custom particle effects inside SideFX Houdini to match the reference.
- Lighting & Look Dev: Created the ominous, high-contrast lighting setup to capture the grim, stylized tone of the reference and added atmospheric fog.
- Compositing: Finalized all rendering passes, atmospheric blending, and color grading inside Adobe After Effects.
